Prototyping and Custom Manufacturing Operations

With component sourcing operations in China and Thailand, prototyping activities in Bangkok, and subcontract assembly operations in Thailand and China, we are pleased to be able to help clients achieve cost-effective manufacturing of heat transfer assemblies.

We have access to a wide variety of TEC modules, DC fans, aluminum heat sinks and related extrusions, thermal adhesives, and miscellaneous hardware. We also have comparative thermal testing capability, and access to various power supply alternatives.

We respect the intellectual property rights of our clients – and we are committed to helping our clients succeed in their business pursuits.

At the same time, we do employ a wealth of “lessons learned,” to help customers develop and manufacture optimized products.

A few of our areas of emphasis:

1. Cooling fans - A key factor in achieving best “cold side” performance for a heat transfer assembly is the degree to which the “hot side” heat sink can be kept cool. The main factor here is the air-flow rating of the fan, and how it is mounted in relation to the heat sink. You can achieve maximized airflow, or lowest power consumption, or lowest noise level - but not all three. Depending on what type of bearing is used, you can obtain different MTBF ratings. We can help you select the best fans for your applications – with UL and CE listings.

2. Heat sinks - The specific alloy out of which the heat sink is manufactured plays a significant role in determining heat dissipation. We manufacture using a superior aluminum alloy. At modest cost, we can arrange for creation of custom extrusion dies, to match your requirements, or duplicate a customer-supplied sample. We know how to design fins to both maximize heat transfer surface area, and also support mounting of fans.

3. Spacer blocks - For many applications, it is necessary to transfer heat through an insulated sidewall. We can produce customized spacer blocks to meet your thickness specifications.

4. Thermal adhesives - We employ both thermal paste adhesives, and – where appropriate – double-sided thermal adhesive foil. We know how to work with these materials, to achieve an optimum outcome.

5. Aluminum weldments or stampings - We can also arrange for creation of custom-designed aluminum weldments or stampings, to meet customer specifications. This can include curved sections, addition of counter-sink penetrations to accept attachment bolts, and edge finishing.

6. Power supplies - In many cases, we can help customers source application specific power supplies – including CE and UL rated power supplies.
